I was feeling a lot of general fatigue in my legs, so I knew training was going to be tough but here’s how it went for the week ending 15/03/20.

Monday – Steady Run

AM: 10.1 km steady run in 44’13”.

PM: 6 km easy in 26’49″with 6 x 15″ strides.

Tuesday – 10 km Tempo

PM: 3.2 km jog warm up followed by drills and strides before starting a 10 km tempo run in 36’51”. It was pretty tough and the first time I’d completed a 10 km tempo run in a long time.

To finish off, I did a 2.6 km jog cool down.

Wednesday – Steady Run

AM: 10.1 km steady run in 44’44”. I kept it easy since I was feeling pretty beat up after yesterday.

Thursday – Steady Run

AM: I decided to try going for a very easy jog in the morning so I did 2.6 km easy in the morning in 13’38”.

PM: 10 km steady run in 42’09” followed by 1.6 km easy running.

Friday – Recovery Run

Just a very easy 2.7 km jog in 14′.

Saturday – Park Laps

Today’s training was in the park and began with a 4.4 km jog warm up before doing drills and starting a session of 4 x a full park lap (1.85 km) followed by 2 x a half park lap (0.95 km) each with 75″ recovery. My times were:

  6. 3’01″1

It was a really tough one, but I’m glad I got it done. I finished off with a 4.3 km jog cool down.

Sunday – Long Run

I did some strides in the morning before doing a hilly 16.6 km long run with 155m elevation in 74 minutes.

Weekly Mileage: 96.3 km / 59.8 miles
